LinearB: see where your app update is waiting

LinearB has launched an assistant for understanding how app changes move through a team. Start by tracing one change and asking what would help it reach users.

The useful part

Choose one app change, ask where it is waiting and check the underlying record before changing the way your team works.

Follow one useful change from request to release

If an improvement to your app keeps waiting for its next step, ask the people building it to trace one recent change. When was it requested, checked and made available to users? A clear account can tell you more than a busy list of completed tasks.

On November 2, LinearB launched Agentic Studio for its existing customers. LinearB connects information from the tools software teams use to plan and deliver changes. The new experience lets a team ask questions in everyday language, then explore an answer and a next step.

Ask about the work behind a delay

According to the announcement, the assistant can help create measures and charts from a written request. It also makes information about past work available to AI coding assistants. Access follows the permissions assigned to people and tools.

The company also announced an early-access skill, a set of instructions for a coding assistant, that adjusts its effort to the complexity and risk of a change. That has a different release stage from Agentic Studio itself. More skills for reviewing and accepting changes are planned. Check their release status before including them in a plan.

This is an addition to a software-team platform. It is not a new app builder that anyone can open and use to create a customer app. If your team already uses LinearB, ask which new features and connections your account can use.

Keep the result connected to people

Our perspective is that a helpful question starts with the experience you want to improve. If customers are waiting for a clearer form, ask what is holding up that change and who can help it move. A count of code changes alone will not show whether the form is easier to use.

Use any suggested explanation as a starting point for a conversation with the team. Check the dates and records behind it. A pause may reflect a missing decision or time needed for a careful review, rather than someone working too slowly.

Try a short handover review

You can practise this with a simple note before connecting another tool. Keep private project information within the access your team has approved.

  1. Choose one change with a clear benefit for the person using the app.
  2. Ask your builder to show the request, review and release dates, with the records that support them.
  3. Identify one waiting point and agree who owns the next decision.
  4. After the change reaches users, check whether they can complete the intended task more easily.

Check the account before connecting more tools

LinearB charges for the developers included in its team measures, with an included allowance for AI work and possible extra usage costs. Its pricing page lists annual billing for the main plans. Check what your agreement covers and any required commitment before treating a demonstration as a buying decision.

If you are learning to build or hiring a partner, you do not need this particular platform to ask for a clear handover. Knowing where a change stands, what it needs next and how you will check the result gives you a practical part in improving the app.
