Turn reports into editable slides with Presentations.AI
Presentations.AI has announced a way to add editable presentation creation to other apps. Start with one repeated report, approved information and a clear review step.
Take a report your team repeats, identify the facts it needs, and test whether an editable slide draft would save useful work before building a connection.
Begin with a report people already need
Choose one presentation your team prepares regularly. Write down where its facts come from and which parts a person must review. That is a useful starting point for deciding whether slide creation belongs inside a business tool.
Presentations.AI described its presentation API in an October 31 announcement and expanded on its partner offering on November 1. An API is a connection one piece of software can use to request work from another. In this case, an app can send information and receive a presentation.

The useful part comes after the first draft
The company says its service can generate editable PowerPoint files from prompts, documents and structured information, and also supports Google Slides output. Its public product page describes adding presentation generation inside another app, so the person using that app can request slides without moving the information by hand.
The announcement also describes output carrying the partner's or customer's branding rather than Presentations.AI branding. That option is limited to its Growth tier and higher commercial arrangements. It should not be assumed to come with every account.
An editable result matters when a reviewer needs to correct a number, explain a change or remove an unsupported conclusion. Generation still needs that review. We have not tested the service's output or independently measured its speed or accuracy.
Check the cost of keeping slides current
Presentations.AI also describes refreshing presentations from connected business information. Its November 1 announcement says each refresh consumes credits for every slide, including slides whose content stays unchanged. That makes the update schedule part of the buying decision.
Get written pricing for the connection you want. API use is priced separately from the presentation app's individual and team subscriptions. The company's live API page and its launch announcement describe allowances differently, so a launch headline is not enough to establish your actual bill.
Ask what a new presentation costs, what a refresh costs, whether unused credits expire and which branding options are included. Confirm the ongoing rate after any temporary offer. A short sample of real usage is more helpful than estimating from the number of people on your team.
Practise with a report you can check
Use made-up or approved information for a first exercise. Keep the source facts beside the draft so you can compare the result before anyone relies on it.
- Choose one report and describe who needs it and why.
- Prepare a small set of facts, including the reporting period and units.
- Generate a draft and open the editable file yourself.
- Check every number, chart label and conclusion against the source.
- Agree who approves the result before sharing it.
Decide whether a connection is worth building
Our perspective is that the opportunity is a clearer handover from information to a usable draft. A useful app should also show where its facts came from, when they were last checked and who approves the finished work.
If you are learning to build, sketch that journey before adding a service. If you want help building it, bring the repeated report and a sample of approved information. Those make the discussion about the work you want to improve.
