Sequel Agents: get more use from your online events
Sequel has made its AI helpers available to every customer. Start with one recording, one useful output and a clear review before anything reaches your audience.
Choose one repeated job around an online event, check which tools it needs and keep a person responsible for approving the result.
Start with the work after the talk
After an online talk or workshop, there is often another job waiting: turn the recording into a useful summary and help attendees find what they need next. Pick one of those jobs before trying to automate the whole event.
Sequel, a platform for running online events on your own website, made Sequel Agents generally available to all its customers on November 2. These are AI helpers that work from the events, recordings and audience activity in a Sequel account.

What the helpers can prepare
Sequel groups the work into three starting points. Build prepares events and checks their setup. Scale turns recordings into clips and written drafts. Convert prepares follow-up using what people asked or watched.
You can also describe a repeated job to create a custom helper, using the data and actions available in your account. For example, a team might ask for a summary of recurring questions to help plan its next teaching session.
This is a wider release of Sequel's agent experience. It does not mean all of the company's video tools or outside connections were invented this week.
Check how the job connects
The product pages distinguish work that runs inside Sequel from work connected through an outside AI assistant and other services. Some examples are only partly available inside Sequel. Before choosing a tool, ask someone to show the exact route your task will use.
For a first project, a recording summary is easier to examine than a chain that also updates customer records and sends messages. Check names, quotations and links against the recording before approving a draft.
Sequel says its helpers can read and draft on their own, but need a person's approval before sending emails, inviting people, changing events or passing leads into the customer-record system. When outside tools are connected, check their permissions and review rules too.
Understand the free period
Sequel's pricing page says agent usage is included on every plan and free until March 1, 2027. Its launch post says charges will then depend on the AI work completed, measured in actions. The pages reviewed do not give those future action rates.
The platform itself still has subscription costs. The listed Growth plan is $950 per month, or $833 per month when billed annually, for up to 500 attendees per session. Other plans are quoted around the team's requirements.
Ask what counts as an action, how spending will be shown and what your expected event volume could cost after the free period. Use the whole cost when comparing this with your current process.
Try one recording and one output
For a learning exercise, use a short recording you have permission to use. Keep private attendee details out of the practice material.
- Choose one output, such as a short recap with links to the relevant moments.
- Provide the intended audience and a short note explaining your preferred wording.
- Check every factual statement against the recording and note the edits a person needed to make.
- Confirm who approves publication, then compare the review time and running cost with your existing approach.
Learn the brief behind the helper
Our perspective is that a good brief is a practical building skill. Knowing the audience, the source material and the approval step helps you shape a useful helper in any tool. Bring one real repeated job into training or a guided build, and you have something concrete to improve.
