The films on this page were made with this skill. A folder of screen recordings of a real app became a 3 minute 45 second walkthrough: the app in full view, step by step, with smooth push-ins on every click, chapter cards, labels that land on the words, numbers that count up, a natural voiceover, music and captions. Then the same film, recomposed as a native 9:16 version for Reels, TikTok and Shorts.
You drop in your recordings. Your assistant watches every clip first, tells you what it found and asks the questions the footage raises: which mode comes first, which numbers are examples, what you are really offering. Then it writes the script for your yes, speaks it in your own cloned voice, checking that every sentence lands naturally, and times every label, count-up and chapter to the word that names it.
It works in Claude Code and in Codex. Your voice is cloned and spoken on your own computer with Voicebox, so there is no cost per film and no voice data leaves your machine. It also gives you a website player with a How it works tab, so the walkthrough can sit right beside your main film.

What do I need to record?
Screen recordings of your app doing its job: a first-run tour if it has one, each mode or main flow from start to finish, and a win. The skill tells you what is missing once it has watched what you have.
How is it different from Product Story Film?
Product Story Film tells a short story with rebuilt screens. App Walkthrough Film teaches how your app works, using your real recordings, in three to four minutes. Many teams use both: the story to get attention, the walkthrough to explain.
Do I need to know how to code or edit video?
No. Your assistant does the building. You answer its questions about your recordings, approve the script and give notes on the film.
Does it work with Codex as well as Claude?
Yes. It works in Claude Code and in Codex. The setup guide installs it for whichever one you use, or both.
Does my voice leave my computer?
No. Voicebox clones and speaks your voice locally. Your recording and the voice model stay on your machine.
Can I make films for my clients?
Yes. Make as many walkthrough films as you like for your own products and your clients. The films are yours. Only the skill itself cannot be resold or shared.
How long does a film take?
Setup takes 20 to 40 minutes, mostly downloads. Your first walkthrough takes two or three hours, mostly recording the voice and giving notes. The next ones are faster.
