How to choose a cloud AI integration for a business workflow

Compare cloud AI platforms by the complete workflow, the information each service can access, and cost per useful result.

The useful part

Use the same examples across proposals, including missing data, a failed tool call and a repeated request.

Define the task and the information it needs

A cloud AI platform can provide access to models and supporting services. Define approved inputs, who can use them, the result people need and who handles exceptions.

Before commissioning platform-specific consulting, define that workflow and the operating boundaries it must respect. The model is one component of the service people will use.

Read the source: AWS Amazon Bedrock overview.

Start with the task and information

Choose a bounded job and collect representative requests. Define the information the system may use, who may use it and which outputs or actions need review.

For an illustrative document assistant, establish the approved sources, the questions it should answer and the situations in which it should ask for help. Do not treat a plausible answer as sufficient evidence of a completed business task.

Scope the chosen platform

AWS Bedrock consulting should identify which models and supporting components are proposed, how the application connects and who operates it. AWS describes Bedrock as a managed service for accessing foundation models. Ask which parts of your workflow the implementation team needs to build around it.

If you searched for Azure AI Foundry consulting, ask about Microsoft Foundry, the name Microsoft now uses in its documentation. If you searched for Vertex AI consulting, Google now documents related services under Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform. Ask which components, account arrangements, regions and usage costs apply to the proposed workflow.

A Salesforce Agentforce consultant should explain how the intended work fits the organization's customer records, permissions and approvals. Compare the complete process, including work outside that platform, with the other options under consideration.

Make access and external actions visible

Identify every system the assistant can read or change. Keep the requesting user's authority attached to those operations and separate a suggested action from an approved one.

Ask where requests, retrieved information and results are processed and retained. Include monitoring, support access and any external tools in that explanation. A chosen cloud region alone does not describe every information route.

Evaluate before committing broadly

Use the same representative examples to compare configurations. Check useful completions, unsupported answers, access behavior, speed and the effort needed to review results.

Include missing source information, an unavailable tool and a repeated request. The user should understand what completed, what did not and how to continue. Record the limitations that remain after the pilot.

Compare the complete operating cost

Include model usage, storage, search or retrieval, hosting, monitoring and human review where applicable. Confirm who can see usage and approve changes. A lower model price does not necessarily create a lower cost per useful completed task.

Agree which maintenance and future changes are included and which require another project. Keep the application, configuration and source documentation transferable under an explicit ownership arrangement.

AI App Studio can help choose and connect an AI platform around a real business workflow. Book a call with the task, source information and systems involved.
