How to choose Claude Code or Cursor training for your team
Pick AI coding training that helps people guide a change, check its behavior and explain who owns it after the session.

Choose a task people can practise safely
AI coding tools can help a team explore an idea and produce software changes. Training is useful when people can guide that work, check what changed and recognize when they need more experienced help.
Before buying Claude Code training or Cursor training, define what participants need to do afterward and the project environment in which they will do it.

Choose a realistic task
Use a bounded piece of work with clear acceptance examples and material the business is authorized to use. Prepare a safe working project where participants can learn without affecting customers or important records.
Separate a beginner's goal from an experienced developer's goal. Someone learning to describe and test a business workflow needs a different session from a team learning to coordinate code changes and releases.
Teach the work around the prompt
Anthropic describes Claude Code as a coding assistant that works with development tasks. The useful training scope should extend to understanding the project, making a clear request and inspecting the result.
Teach participants to keep the intended outcome visible and to separate confirmed facts from an assistant's assumptions. A generated explanation should lead back to observable code, behavior or documentation when a decision matters.
Practice review and correction
GitHub's responsible-use guidance notes that generated suggestions can be inaccurate and need review and validation. Build that review into each exercise.
For an illustrative exercise, ask the tool to implement a form with a required approval. Have participants check a valid submission, a missing value and a user who should not be allowed to approve. Then review whether the code and tests actually protect those conditions.
Make access and execution understandable
Explain which files, tools and accounts the assistant can reach in the chosen environment. Participants should know how to recognize a consequential action and use the organization's approval process.
Keep credentials and customer information out of unnecessary training material. Establish how participants report an unexpected result and recover a working state without improvising changes in a live system.
Connect learning to ownership
Teach how changes are recorded, tested, reviewed and handed over. Include the source files, dependencies, account ownership and continuing service costs needed to operate the result.
Choose whether you need an introduction to the tool, a guided product build or a workshop for an engineering team. Ask the trainer to identify the actual deliverables, prerequisites and support after the session.
Assess the completed task
Have participants perform a representative task independently, explain their checks and identify a limitation. Use their results to decide which work they can take on independently and where they need a reviewer.
